"Pretty solid value from what I remember"
I picked up doodly when it was on a deal, and looking back, I’d say it was worth it. I mostly wanted something that could help me make simple explainer videos without having to hire someone, and it did the job well. I remember a few parts taking some time to figure out at first, but once I got used to it, it was useful for smaller projects. For the price I paid, I really can’t complain.

"Really nice-looking animations"
I’ve been using Doodly for a few videos now, the animation quality is solid. It looks clean, it runs smooth, and it doesn’t have that cheap feel I’ve seen with a few other tools I’ve tried.

"Exports came out rough, and support felt a bit condescending"
I actually enjoyed putting the video together, and the preview looked totally fine while I was editing. But once I exported it, the final MP4 came out noticeably blurrier than expected, and a few of the lines had this shaky look that made the whole thing feel less polished.
Rendering also took way longer than I thought it would, and one export failed right near the end, which was frustrating. When I tried to get help, the response kind of made me feel like I was being talked down to instead of helped. For the price, I was hoping for cleaner output and a smoother experience overall. It technically works, but it’s not really good enough for the projects I need it for
"A few too many upgrade offers, but I’m still happy"
From what I remember when I signed up, there were definitely more upgrade offers than I expected, and that part felt a little pushy. But looking back after using Doodly for a while, it’s worked well for what I needed, so overall I’m still happy with it.

"I really like how many templates there are..."
I really like how many templates there are to choose from. It makes putting together my doodle videos a lot quicker, and I don’t get stuck staring at a blank screen as much. I do wish a few of the templates felt a little more unique, since some can start to look similar after a while. But overall, having so many options saves me time and makes the whole process way easier
"Pretty hard to figure out"
I thought Doodly would be easy to use, but i had a harder time with it than I expected. It wasn’t super intuitive for me, and I got frustrated trying to figure things out.

"I signed up for Doodly kind of on..."
I signed up for Doodly kind of on impulse just to see what it was like, and it was fine to play around with. But when I decided it wasn’t really for me, canceling ended up being more annoying than I expected. The refund details weren’t very clear, so I had to reach out to support to figure it out. They did get it sorted eventually, but the whole thing left a frustrating impression

"I’ve been using Doodly for a few..."
I’ve been using Doodly for a few videos now, my favorite part is how much I can customize the characters and props. I usually just trust my instinct while building a scene, switching poses, adding my own images, and tweaking things until they fit the story. It’s easy to figure out, even if a few small things take a little trial and error. Overall, I’m really happy with it.

"Simple billing and no surprises"
I had a question about billing after I signed up, and support got it sorted out quickly. The subscription page was easy enough to follow, and there have not been any weird charges so far. I am happy with it.

"Freezes every time I try to export"
A friend recommended this app to me, so I really wanted to like it, but it keeps freezing whenever I try to export. It feels unstable right now and makes it hard to actually get anything finished

"Voiceover tools were better than I thought"
I tried doodly for a couple of explainer videos, and the voiceover stuff was easier than I expected. I just added my audio, lined it up with the scenes, and it didnt take much time at all. The sound came through clear enough, and I could adjust the timing without getting lost. Im happy with how it turned out overall.

"Doodly looks decent enough, but the platform support..."
Doodly looks decent enough, but the platform support is a pain. I use a Chromebook at home, and of course this picky little tool wouldn’t run properly on it, so I had to borrow my wife’s Windows laptop just to use the thing. For something you’re paying for, that feels ridiculous and way too limiting

"Support was surprisingly quick"
I had a small issue with my account and didn’t expect much, but support got back to me way faster than I thought they would. They explained everything in a simple way and had it fixed the same day. I’m still a little surprised, but I’m happy with how they handled it.

"The tutorials made it easy for me"
I was lost at first, but a Doodly tutorials helped me a lot. The training videos are short and easy to follow, so I managed to finish my first video without getting stuck for the hours. Really happy with how it turned out.

"So... lots to tweak, but still easy"
So... there are a ton of features to play with, but it’s still easy enough to figure out. I like that I can tweak things and make it work for just about whatever I need.

"Helped me finish my video so much faster"
I was surprised at how quickly I got my video done using this. It saved me a ton of time, and I already told a friend to check it out too

"Took me a bit longer to get the hang of it"
Doodly is okay overall, but like I said, it took me longer to learn than I expected. Some parts are simple enough, but a few tools had me clicking around for a while trying to figure out what I was doing. I ended up watching a couple videos before I could make anything that looked halfway decent. Like I said, it’s not bad at all, just not as super easy right away as I thought it would be...

"I used it for some client..."
I used it for some client videos, and the commercial license seemed clear enough for what I needed. That said, I’m still a little unsure about the overall quality, so I’d probably double-check before using it on bigger projects.
